kamaran is the name of a desert island in the red sea off the west coast of yemen. i stayed here for a few nights, in a hut not unlike the one you see on the far right.

with a pair of goggles it's easy to spot clown fish and sting rays.

heather got sick after the first night. nabil and i took his bike out to the nearby kamaran village to track down some pills for her.
i can see why my gramma got upset when my uncle jon bought one of these machines. it was a pretty fun ride through the desert though.
